A UPS provides near-instantaneous emergency power when the mains fails — bridging the gap with stored battery energy long enough to start a generator or shut equipment down safely. Spinworks sizes and installs UPS solutions from a single desktop to a full three-phase enterprise array
A UPS differs from a standby generator in that it delivers near-instantaneous protection, drawing on energy stored in batteries, supercapacitors, or flywheels rather than starting up from scratch. That runtime is usually short — a few minutes — but enough to start a backup source or shut equipment down cleanly.
We help you pick the right power management type and capacity, from small-office units to custom enterprise arrays, so the UPS matches the load it's actually protecting.
Three layers that work together, or stand strong on their own.
Surge protection and battery backup, with equipment normally running direct from utility power. Switches to the inverter when voltage drops out of range — switchover as long as 25ms.
Tolerates continuous under/over-voltage without draining the battery, by switching autotransformer taps instead. Batteries need less maintenance, though the autotransformer can wear over time.
Batteries stay connected to the inverter at all times, so there's no switchover at all. Provides a true electrical firewall — ideal for industrial and data center loads on shared high-voltage lines.
VA is Volts × Amps — the apparent power a unit can provide. Watts is roughly 75% of VA, since the power factor on most grids sits around 0.7. Most SOHO units hold 5–20 minutes of runtime depending on load; buying more VA than you strictly need is an easy way to buy more runtime too.
From a single desktop unit to a custom, scalable enterprise array.
For small offices and home use — direct schuko connectors, phone line surge protection, and USB monitoring on most units.
Rack-mountable and floor-standing options with network administration, automation actions, and third-party management protocol support.
The same four stages, whether it's one panel or an entire building.
We calculate the VA and runtime your equipment actually needs, with headroom for growth.
Offline, line interactive, or online double-conversion — matched to how critical the load is.
Units are installed and integrated, from a single schuko plug to a rack-mounted or 3-phase array.
Battery health and runtime are checked over time, so backup power is there when you need it.
